1. Social Responsibility, Ethics, And Sustainability
Duration: 48 Hrs.
Prerequisites: None

  • Explore the concepts of ethics, corporate social responsibility (CSR), and environmental sustainability
  • Learn the impact of moral philosophies on human lives.
  • Discuss various sustainability issues and solution proposals.
  • Explore how corporate social responsibility (CSR) evolved and encompasses economic, legal, ethical, and philanthropic components.

2. Professional Relationship Selling
Duration: 48 Hrs.
Prerequisites: None

  • Provide an introduction on the sales profession.
  • Learn social, ethical, and legal decisions in sales.
  • Understand consumers’ buying decisions and sales process.
  • Create effective sales presentations

3. Introduction To Marketing
Duration: 48 Hrs.
Prerequisites: None

  • Understand the role and importance of marketing.
  • Explain the role of ethics and CSR in marketing.
  • Learn analytical and research methods for marketing strategy.

6. Lab 101: Industry Audit Partnership Project

  • Perform audits and assessments.

  • Join a BC Business Networking Organization and analyze its value.

7. Presentations And Public Speaking

  • Determine a speech goal and strategies that meet the audience’s needs.
  • Organize and develop material for presentations.
  • Develop visual aids and practice speech wording and delivery.

8. Business Etiquette Lab 101: Learning Essentials

  • Develop personal and professional etiquette for career advancement.
  • Understand the importance of business environment etiquette.

9. English Composition
Duration: 48 Hrs.
Prerequisites: None

  • Understand various types of essays.
  • Develop skills important to research and writing academic essays.
  • Learn writing disciplines.
  • Detect common grammatical mistakes in their writing and in editing exercises.
  • Cite source material according to APA standards.

10. College English

  • Develop superior English proficiency, which is essential in business settings
  • Demonstrate knowledge and appropriate use of formal versus informal English.
  • Write an effective business memo, email, and letter.
  • Practice writing effectively under time constraints.
  • Write coherent and cohesive paragraphs.

11. Principles Of Economics

  • Relate economic terms based on the theory presented,
  • Solve business problems using the “Supply and Demand” theory,
  • Apply economic theories to personal lives from domestic and global perspectives.

12. Introduction To Computers
Duration: 48 Hrs.
Prerequisites: None

  • Operate word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet software applications, and business tools.
  • Learn to research effectively and accurately.
  • Learn to utilize Windows Operating System procedures.
  • Understand household and business computer hardware and networks.

13. Introduction To Accounting
Duration: 48 Hrs.
Prerequisites: None

  • Learn to solve business-related problems that involve simple algebra.
  • Describe the objectives of financial reporting.
  • Explain the accounting cycle, from journaling up to financial statement preparation.
  • Use accounting information systems.
  • Analyze financial information for business decisions.

14. Business Math

  • Solve budget problems using break-even and merchandising concepts.
  • Identify, graph, and interpret linear relationships.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

  • Applicants must provide a valid photo ID or birth certificate
  • Applicants must hold a high school diploma or be at least 19 years of age
  • Students under the age of 19 require their parent or guardian’s signature
  • Student must complete an intake with Admissions team member

Mandatory criteria for all applicants:

  • Meet one of the English Proficiency requirements
  • Medical insurance coverage and
  • Received approval from the Registrar

English proficiency requirements

Applicants must provide one of the following:

  • BC high school communications 12 ‐ minimum C+ (67‐72%) (or equivalent in another school system) or;
  • TOEFL PBT score 500, or CBT 173, or iBT 61 or;
  • IELTS ‐ minimum overall band test score 6 or;
  • CLB (Canadian Language Benchmark) 7 or;
  • Successfully complete the Eton College Placement Test or;
  • Successfully completed the Eton College Business Environment Communications Program.
