As 2015 comes to a close, we look back on some of our favourite memories from this year.
Nicole Beaulieu, Director of Operations:
Every year one of my favourite moment is when grads throw their caps in the air. It is symbolic of the joy and pride of success, the result of hard work, the camaraderie created, the goals reached, the excitement ahead. I am thankful to all the great staff and faculty of Eton College for contributing with their hearts, their hands, and their dedication to the success of all our students.
Anna-Marie Rautenbach, Instructor:
The Hospitality Management class had a very busy year which involved numerous volunteer activities at the 411 Seniors Centre Society, Food collection drive for the Surrey Food Bank, fundraisers for – Red Cross, BC SPCA, Because I am a Girl campaign, BC Children’s Hospital, and the Christmas Toy Drive for the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau. Luckily, we also had time for many potluck activities.
Mark Enright, Instructor:
My favourite memory of 2015 was twofold, first being the successful 3 night field trip to Whistler with the co-op students in March and second, seeing our first cohort of Tourism & Hospitality Co-op students graduate in November. It made me very proud to see how much these students had matured and grown over the program.
Kate del Rosario, Instructor:
Air Canada Service Director Lorna Holmes came as a guest speaker at Eton College. She has been with Air Canada for 26 years and visits the college regularly.
Karen Sequeira, Marketing & Communications Coordinator:
After the devastating earthquake in Nepal in April, our amazing students came together to do their part to raise money and awareness. The students organized a bake sale, open to the public. Also, our instructors Naz and Mark bravely offered to do the ice bucket challenge to raise money.
