If you love travelling and helping others, then you should seriously consider a career as a flight attendant. With 2019 still young, it’s not too late to make attending flight attendant school the New Year’s resolution you achieve this year. Here’s why we think now is an especially great time to enroll!
The Demand for Flight Attendants Is Strong Right Now in British Columbia
When choosing a new career path, it is always a good idea to opt for one that you’re not only passionate about, but that is also in high demand. Fortunately, demand for flight attendants is strong, especially in British Columbia. According to Statistics Canada, the job outlook for flight attendants is better in British Columbia than anywhere else in the country.
Even better, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) predicts that global air transport passenger numbers will double to 8.2 billion by 2037, with the Asia-Pacific region driving much of that growth. Clearly, if you’re looking to train for a job that will be in demand well into the future, going to flight attendant school is a great choice.
Flight Attendant School Is Great for Those Who Want to Travel the World
Aside from changing careers, another popular New Year’s resolution is travelling more. As a flight attendant, you’ll get to strike both of those resolutions off your list! One of the best parts of being a flight attendant is that it offers you the opportunity to travel all over the planet. Flight attendants usually have a minimum amount of time off between flights, meaning you’ll often have a day or two to explore some amazing destinations. Imagine having a career that allows you to eat sushi in Tokyo, lounge on the beach in Bali, or hit the slots in Vegas like they’re all just part of a regular break in between workdays!
Flight Attendants Get to Meet Some Amazing People on the Job
As a flight attendant, you’ll get to meet some fascinating people and put your social skills to good use. There’s a great sense of camaraderie among flight attendants, for example, and you’ll likely make lifelong friends among your coworkers. Because you may be flying different routes, you could also get the chance to work with different people quite often.
Furthermore, the customer service skills you’ll learn in your flight attendant course can be put to use making connections with the passengers you’ll be serving. If you have an outgoing and sociable personality, this career could be a dream come true!
