About the position
The Articulation Specialist is responsible for initiating and overseeing the development of articulation
agreements for international students with corresponding educational institutions.
This role entails the research, development, and implementation of course articulation agreements of
varying types; representation of Eton College in statewide projects and initiatives through the appropriate
institutional programs; and overseeing articulation processes, such as maintaining the Articulation Module
in the student information system, maintaining currency on proposed curriculum changes, and monitoring
articulation budget.
Specific responsibilities:
- During the formalization of articulation agreements, work with the Campus Director of Eton
College to transition relationships/completed articulation agreements with the corresponding
partner institution, optimally coordinate and develop articulation agreements, and offer ongoing
support and training to regarding newly developed and existing partnerships - Working closely with both internal and external stakeholders to promote, inform and be the
necessary catalyst in ensuring that the articulation agreements are developed and formalized in
order to start receiving international students - Ensure that potential partnership agreements are feasible for Eton College and match the
strategic vision of the institution - Work with the Campus Director to correlate the compatibility between both institutions’ curricula
to ensure that quality of programs offered by Eton College and our partner institutions - Review, renew and optimize past articulation agreements with partner institutions when possible
- Direct the creation and maintenance of database/record systems related to articulation
agreements with external institutions - Work with external institutions to ensure the compatibility and authenticity of transcripts that
accurately reflect the articulation agreement/process - Oversee and facilitate the recognition and transfer of credits from partner institutions, and
coordinate credit and grade equivalencies for international partner institutions - Cultivate effective working relationships and communications with other international educational
partner articulation representatives as needed in the developmental and negotiation stage of a
new partnership - Negotiate with institutions receiving/sending transfer course work, including that which falls
outside the established articulation agreement - Identify and report on barriers to international program articulation and credit transfer at Eton
College
Location: Canada
Education & Experience:
- Equivalent to 2 years of college level coursework in liberal studies, education, or related field
- 2 years of increasingly responsible administrative experience in an educational institution,
preferably in curriculum, articulation, or transfer-related function
Required and critical skills
- Keen understanding of the organization and operation of colleges and stakeholders in the higher
education industry - Familiarity with administrative and office policies and procedures, along with pertinent laws and
regulations - Use of independent judgment, critical thinking, and initiative
- Research, analytical and record-keeping skills
- Use of correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary
- Ability to compose and prepare correspondence and memoranda, as well as prepare and
administer assigned budgets - Operation of office equipment such as word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications,
and adapt to changing technologies - Effectively contribution whether as an individual or as a team player
- Working under steady pressure and with a high degree of public contact and correspondence by
phone or face to face
