PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Business Administration in Hospitality Management Diploma Program is designed to develop students’ understanding of various functional aspects of business and commerce. The program provides learners with the opportunity to develop their analytical, problem-solving & decision-making skills through academic courses plus applied lab components. The program prepares graduates for entry positions, which ladder into supervisory/management in a broad range of business environments. These opportunities can be found in domestic & international business that include manufacturing, retail, medical, financial, government, and the tourism and hospitality industries. Students wishing to continue their studies have the potential to transfer their earned credits from this program to other higher learning institutions subject to the admissions policies of the receiving institute.
This program enables students to master the management and operational skills needed in the hospitality industry. Learners are introduced to best practices applied in management roles while being introduced to the many facets of the current global activities affecting the industry.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon successful completion of this program, the student will have reliably demonstrated the ability to:

- Examine international negotiating issues and evaluate the fundamentals of international hotel human resources recruiting, hiring and training practices
- Examine marketing and selling strategies for overcoming travel and trade barriers in a global community
- Interpret the unique challenges and opportunities of hotel projects and evaluate government involvement affecting hospitality companies
- Research, establish a consultancy partnership, and maintain communication throughout the project, including proposing a monitoring and audit strategy, documenting progress, conducting a final assessment, and engaging in professional networking to enhance the consultancy process and personal growth.
- Develop and deliver a well-structured speech by determining a clear speech goal aligned with audience needs, adapting content based on audience characteristics, gathering relevant information from credible sources, and organizing material to ensure clarity, accuracy, and persuasiveness.
- Exhibit professionalism in virtual and in-person business settings, including making a positive first impression, using appropriate communication etiquette, managing business logistics, maintaining a professional digital presence, and navigating social events effectively.
- Apply mathematical and financial concepts, including algebra, linear relationships, break-even analysis, interest calculations, and amortization tables, to effectively solve real-world business problems.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
1. Basic Requirements
- Applicants must provide a valid Govt. photo ID or birth certificate
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum Age: 19 years.
- Mature Students (19+ without high school diploma): May be considered based on work experience, resume, transcripts, and references. An interview may be required.
2. English Language Proficiency
- Applicants must meet one of the following:
- Minimum scores from accepted English tests (e.g., IELTS 5.5, TOEFL iBT 46, Duolingo 95, etc.).
- Recent English proficiency test (within 2 years).
- Proof of English-language education:
- 2–3 years of secondary or post-secondary education completed in English in eligible countries.
- International credentials must be recognized by WES, ICES, or IQAS.
