Reservation Agent 

A reservation agent provides pertinent information about travel options and tour packages. They also make bookings on behalf of the client through the travel agency they work with.

According to Job Bank Canada, Manitoba has the best career prospects for reservation agents. This means that job opportunities are the highest in the province for the next three years.

In line with this, the Canadian Occupational Projection System (COPS) reported that jobs for reservation  agents will steadily grow from 2019 to 2028. For reference, the employment in 2018 was 17,300 for reservation agents. 

Executive Housekeeper

An executive housekeeper performs a wide range of housekeeping duties. This includes overseeing the activities and operations within a housekeeping department.

Part of their duty also includes consistent monitoring of health and safety regulations. In some agencies, they also hold financial reports, hire or discharge, plan and assign work assignments, and train new housekeeping employees.

Most coordinators can find a job through trade or tourism associations. But there’s also a possibility of being  self-employed in this kind of career. 

Future event coordinators can enjoy good job prospects in British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and Quebec. There are also fair opportunities across the rest of the Canadian provinces.

Marketing Manager

A marketing manager oversees all marketing efforts within an organization. This person is responsible for planning and monitoring the budget of their entire department, propelling traffic, devising strategies,and advertising techniques to attract customers.

Most industries that hire marketing managers are commercial and industrial firms. But there are also job prospects in government agencies and even small start-ups.

Over the next 3 years, Quebec shows the best promise for future marketing managers. The median wage in this province is currently set at $43.27 per hour.

Food and Beverage Attendant

A food and beverage attendant helps prepare food items to be served to the customers at the food counter.  They also assist other food workers in maintaining the kitchen areas.

This job role is more prominent in restaurants, food outlets, and cafeterias. Hotels and hospitals are also some of the biggest employers of this occupation.

From 2019 to 2028, new job openings are expected to be around 98,600. Nova Scotia and Ontario have the highest job prospects for this role, followed by other provinces such as British Columbia, Alberta, and Manitoba.
